The current process is a bit painful and costly but if Apple could come up with a solution that can offer blood sugar readings without the need to draw blood or buy new test trips, it will be could prove to be a major boost to the device’s sales.
The report reveals Apple as the largest customer of Rockley Photonics which have been a developed next-generation sensors that are expected to be inside devices by next year. It is sensors can read certain signals from a person’s blood by shining infrared light through the skin from the back of a smartwatch.
This also hints that besides glucometer, the company could be looking to add other sensors on the upcoming smartwatch to measure the user’s alcohol level of the blood pressure but as of now, nothing have been the confirmed by the US-based tech giant.

India’s cybersecurity agency have warned WhatsApp users in the country about certain vulnerabilities detected in the messaging Application. Thus vulnerabilities could lead to a breach of sensitive information of WhatsApp users.
The CERT-In or the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team has issued a “high” severity rating advisory. The agency has stated that vulnerability have been discovered in a software that have “WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business for Android prior to v184.108.40.206 & WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business for iOS prior to v2.21.32.”
The CERT-In is the national technology arm thay tackles cyber attacks & guards Indian cyberspace.
The advisory reads, “Multiple vulnerabilities has been reported in the WhatsApp applications which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code or access sensitive information on the targeted system”.
Explaining the details of these vulnerabilities, a advisory notes that these “exist in WhatsApp applications due to the cache configuration issue & missing bounds check within the audio decoding pipeline.”
“Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow the attacker to a execute arbitrary code or access sensitive information on the targeted system,” it added.
CERT-In’s advisory have stated that WhatsApp users should update to the latest version of the application from the Google Play Store or iOS App Store in order to counter this vulnerability threat.
